Professional Life

Instead of prescribing to you from a textbook, my practice honors you as the expert of your life. I am here to learn where you want to go, and to be an informed guide at your disposal as we discover how we can get you there. Together, we can co-create a “brave space”  wherein I am responsible for earning your trust and you are responsible for showing up in a way that honors both your goals and your capacity for transformation.

As a queer, white woman living with complex trauma and neurodivergence, I have been a student of the behavioral/healing arts for my whole life. I’ve chosen to practice psychotherapy not because I think I’ve discovered all the answers, rather, because I know what it's like to feel miserable, broken, and hopeless–and then, to find hope, connection, and belonging, within myself, mentors, community, and my own therapist(s)/mental health helpers.

I am passionate about interrogating systems of oppression as they exist within us and throughout us, and challenging them with human strengths. This can look like;

  • Unlearning shame that was never yours to begin with→learning how to love yourself

  • Unlearning neuroconforming behaviors→learning to love your neurodiversity

  • Unlearning white supremacy culture→learning to love within/against white supremacy culture

  • Reclaiming agency, confidence, and worthiness

Credentials:

  • Master’s of Social Work student, Advanced Clinical Standing

  • BA Sociology, BA Social Science, BA Liberal Studies

Specialties:

  • Adolescents, Young Adults, Adults

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing

Personal Life

My personal practice is driven by my belief in the power of mental health practices as catalysts for individual and collective healing. I believe in the transformative power of all that reclaims our humanity, such as animals, art, community, humor, nature, play, pleasure, and relationship. Here’s how I have been surviving late stage capitalism and white supremacy culture:

  • Dancing like a silly goose

  • Creating art for and with my community

  • Moon Magic

  • Spending time with dogs!!!

  • Playing outside, looking at bugs and plants

  • Amateur carpentry

  • Spending time with loved ones (bio/chosen family, positive friends)

  • Asking questions

  • Reading and writing silly and serious things

As a Student Intern, Ashley accepts OHP through Health Share/Care Oregon or Self-Pay on a reduced-rate sliding scale ($10 to $50 per session) and sees clients as openings occur.
