Emily Greso, Clinical Social Work Associate

they/them

Professional

I received my Master of Social Work from Pacific University in 2024, and my Bachelor of Social Work from Portland State University in 2022. My background includes working with the intellectually and developmentally disabled community, at the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline as part of the crisis line staff, and in middle schools as a school-based therapist. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I provide identity-affirming services to adolescents and young adults.

I work with youth and young adults, ages 11 through 24, who are constantly experiencing unfamiliar situations and emotions. It can be confusing to sort through which emotions are common at each stage of adolescence and early adulthood and which emotions may be associated with underlying mental health challenges. I’m here to support clients as they learn how to navigate adolescence and early adulthood, build inner resources for wellbeing, and manage what is within their control- all of which are critical elements of therapy for youth and young adults across developmental stages.

I utilize the following modalities in my work:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • Receiving training for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

I currently provide mental health services for several challenges of adolescence and young adulthood, such as:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Emotional challenges related to adolescence

  • LGBTQIA+ related stressors

  • Life transitions

  • Trauma recovery

I am neurodivergent-affirming and strive to continuously educate myself on the experiences of other identities.

Personal

Growing up in Washington, I have a deep appreciation for the Pacific Northwest’s diverse beauty and climate (I love the rain!). When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time in nature– but I also enjoy staying home with my cats, reading, playing indie video games, and participating in recreational sports.

As an Associate, Emily participates in all of our Accepted Insurance Plans and sees clients as openings occur.
