Professional Life

Ren is passionate about working with people to live their best life possible. She identifies as queer and a part of the LGBTQ+ community and works to be an inclusive therapist including being a poly and kink positive clinician. Geena’s work is rooted in the belief of the inherent worth and respect for all persons.

Ren started at community college and earned a Bachelors of Liberal Studies for California State University Stanislaus. After teaching elementary and English as a forgein language, Geena went back to school for her Masters of Social Work from Walden University. She has worked in a variety of settings: 

• Individual counseling with an outpatient agency

• Clinical therapist intern with Asmik Family Services

• Mental health worker for community mental health agency

• Case manager for foster youth and former foster youth

• Residential counselor in a foster group home

• Teacher and community coach for adults with disabilities

• Behavioral associate for autitistic children

Ren is currently a CSWA while pursuing her LCSW. She is working toward her Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor hours. Geena works with people seeking help for a variety of struggles including those seeking treatment for: 

• Addictions

• Anxiety

• Bipolar

• Chronic Illness

• Depression

• Relationship challenges

Personal Life

Ren is a newcomer to Oregon and has embraced the Pacific Northwest lifestyle. When not playing with her two dogs, she is usually reading Jane Austen fanfic or playing Dungeons and Dragons with her spouse.
