I was born and raised in Oregon and, with the exception of the 4 years I lived in North Carolina,  can’t imagine living anywhere else. I raised my kids in the Metro area and watched each of them graduate from the same high school I attended. After raising my kids and watching them leave the nest, I went back to school to earn a higher degree. Ultimately I earned a Bachelor degree in Child Youth and Family Studies from Portland State University. My passion in life has always been to find ways to support youth and teens in a meaningful and long-term way. Over the years my strong desire to set our younger generations up for success led me to the following positions:

  • Instructional Assistant with Centennial School District

  • High School Math/GED prep Tutor with Northwest Family Services

  • Para Educator with Portland Public School District

Personal Life:

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my kids, completing jigsaw puzzles that are no fewer than 1,000 pieces (prefer 2,000+), reading (James Patterson & autobiographies), and cuddling my feline fur-babies.
