Megan Dobbs, Licensed Professional Counselor
Professional Life
Megan earned her Master of Arts in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis and Clark College in 2019. Megan has worked in a variety of help professions both before and after graduate school. These include:
Instructional Assistant at Oregon City High School in a classroom for students with social and emotional disorders
Child and Adolescent Treatment Specialist at a children’s psychiatric residential treatment facility
Counseling Intern at the Lewis and Clark Community Counseling Center
Counseling Intern at the Domestic Violence Resource Center
Child and Family Therapist (LPC Intern) at Family Solutions
Megan is excited to be making the transition back to working with adults. She provides telehealth mental health services for a variety of challenges such as:
Anxiety
Depression
Domestic/Intimate partner violence
Life transitions
Women’s issues and empowerment
Personal Life
Megan was born and raised in Hillsboro, Oregon. She attended New York University for her undergraduate degree and loved living in New York City. However, she missed her home state and her family and returned to Portland after graduating.
Besides therapy, Megan loves:
Traveling
Checking out new restaurants
Reading
Her dog (Holly)
Watching anything and everything on Netflix! (or Hulu or HBO)
As a Licensed provider, Megan supervises some Associates at Oregon City Counseling, participates in some of our Accepted Insurance Plans, and sees clients as openings occur.
