Megan Nieto, Graduate Student Intern


Professional Life

Megan earned her Bachelors of Science in Psychology through Portland State University in 2023. She is a graduate student beginning her practicum for Clinical Social Work. Megan is currently working towards her Masters in Clinical Social Work at Rutgers University. 

Megan is interested in the following:

  • Being a safe space for people of all identities, backgrounds or beliefs

  • Being an outlet for athletes balancing personal lives, academic and athletic performances, and stress management as well as transitioning out of athletics

Personal Life

Megan was born and raised in Yorba Linda, California before moving up to Portland, OR in 2021. Megan was a Division 1 basketball player at Portland State University and is proud of her student-athlete past. Outside of therapy, you can find Megan:

  • Reading a good book

  • Attempting to cook or bake yummy creations

  • Playing with her two cats

  • Hanging out with her friends

As a Student Intern, Megan accepts OHP through Health Share/Care Oregon or Self-Pay on a reduced-rate sliding scale ($10 to $50 per session) and sees clients as openings occur.
