Professional Life

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Humboldt State University in 2011, specializing in Gender Studies and Human Sexuality. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University in 2024 and worked as a pre-licensed professional for Oregon City Counseling until achieving licensure in September 2026. I currently practice at Oregon City Counseling as a licensed Lead Clinician. 

I am interested in the following:

  • Creating a safe space for LGBTQIA2s+ individuals, couples, and other relationship structures

  • Empowering thems, femmes, and women

  • Practicing inclusive therapy for people of all religions, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds

Personal Life

I was born and raised in Los Angeles in a Jewish family. I am a musician and vocalist, and former frontwoman of a rock band, who currently resides with my partner, our dog and cat, and our many instruments. I have been in Oregon for over a decade and I love the PNW and all it has to offer. Some of my interests include:

  • Playing covers of songs I love

  • Cooking, baking sourdough, and trying new restaurants and cuisines

  • Watching horror movies and listening to showtunes

As a Licensed provider, Miranda participates in most of our Accepted Insurance Plans and sees clients as openings occur. Miranda accepts OHP through Open Card, Trillium CCO, and Yamhill CCO. She can also see Self-Pay clients on a sliding scale ($95 to $225 per session).
