Adolescents
Adolescence involves unique challenges as teenagers navigate transitioning from childhood to adulthood. Working through this transition can be stressful and may involve strained relationships, lower confidence, and mental health and wellness concerns. Navigating these stressors can be difficult for both teens and their caregivers. Counseling provides a safe and dedicated space for adolescents to explore identity, self-esteem, independence, and other complex situations specific to their developmental stage. Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other modalities, teens can learn skills to understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; be present with and accept their emotions; and manage their overall mental health.
